On my U.S. commercial 45 of 'Bo Weevil' by Fats Domino (Imperial 5375), there is a considerable reverb or echo effect noticeable on the vocals. I do not hear it on any CD or re-issue 45 I have.

Yes I agree with you Paul. As it turns out, the version with no reverb is actually the LP version of Bo Weevil as found on the vinyl LP "Rock And Rollin' With Fats Domino"

Sounds like this situation would best qualify for "45 mix" and "LP mix" comments in the database, wouldn't it?
By the way, does anyone know if the 45 mix of Fats Domino's "Bo Weevil" has ever appeared on an import CD? Edited by Todd Ireland |
