Hi everyone - I finally got my copy of the Suzi Lane CD,"Ooh, La La" in the mail yesterday from Gold Legion. The CD has been advertised on their website since at least November but it was only released in the last week. The good news is that it's another high-quality release, with excellent liner notes and three bonus tracks: the 12" versions of "Oh, La La" and "Harmony" and the 7" version of "Harmony". The CD was manufactured by Rhino and it sounds like it's from original tapes to me. To those of you unfamiliar with Suzy, "Harmony" and "Ooh, La La" were #1 on the Disco charts in the fall of 1979. All songs were produced (and some written) by Giorgio Moroder, with a sound similar to the one he created on Donna Summer's "Bad Girls".

I still recall "Harmony" very well from that fall. I had
already heard it a lot in long form on the disco station, but then i started hearing the 45 on some pop stations. Seemed like it was about to be a bigger hit, then lost momentum i guess. |
