It only hit #73 in 1983, but it's still really catchy.
The LP version appears on The Hurting, runs 4:12, and runs about 125.0-125.2 BPM. There's an early fade of the LP version on the first greatest hits from TFF, Tears Roll Down 82-92. It runs 125.7-126.1 BPM. It runs 3:52, with a fade from about 3:40 to 3:52. There's a digital clone of this on Time-Life's 2-CD Modern Rock Vol. 15 Lost Hits Of The Mid '80s (0.5 dB quieter). The 45 edit appears on Rhino's Just Can't Get Enough Vol. 11, where it runs 3:58, and runs 124.6-124.7 BPM. The 45 trim 16 beats from the intro (somewhere between when the drums kick in and when the vocals kick in). The fade starts in the same place as the LP version, but is shortened on the 45. The sound quality is much better on the Rhino discs than on the TFF single-artist discs. Edited by crapfromthepast |

There's a lot of crap on the radio, but there's only one Crap From The Past.

ahh those magical early days of MTV.
Ron, i agree about Rhino's TFF masterings... i found the Tears Roll Down CD to be very flat sounding. MM |
