Not a top-40 hit, but a great song from 1986 (and of course, we're talking Jackson Browne--didn't have room in the header). Am I crazy in thinking that the 45 can't be extracted from the LP? It looks like there's a little bit of rearranging, but on the LP version there's a note that overlaps the lyric "there was a hole left in the wall", whereas on the 45 the lyric appears to be in the clear (and that's where the edit needs to be in order to create the 45).
I'm using this video (which uses the 45) for reference (the note in question happens at (2:16). Unfortunately, the sound is a little muddy, otherwise I'd try recording off that and inserting it. http://youtu.be/3bfsXY7jbvU (Why can't these artistes just do straight edits? Had a devil of a time with Steve Winwood's "Still In The Game" too, but I think that one I ended up getting.) ETA: This is the LP version--the note in question here happens at (1:38) (so you see that rearranging is definitely involved). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YokPCUe6B5Y Edited by sriv94 |
