I'm baffled by Missing Persons' "Walking In L.A."

I have a 4-minute version that is (I assume) the album length.

I also have a version from Can't Get Enough - New Wave Hits Of The 80s which cuts out part of the instrumental near the one minute mark and then takes out some of the "nobody's walkin, walkin, walkin" at the end to get to a length of 3:37.

This single says on the label that it runs 3:30, but I have no way to check that.

The mix of the 4-minute and 3:37 versions are identical, it is a simple edit. The video version is the 4-minute version.

Does anybody know the real length of the single version, especially the DJ promo single, and if it was a simple edit of the LP version or a different mix?

Gene, I'll shoot a dub of the stock 45 to you momentarily.

Gene, both sides of my promo 45 are exactly the same: stereo, a listed time
of (3:30), an actual time of (3:37) (which exactly matches your "New Wave
HIts Of The 80's" CD timing), and deadwax info of "S45-B-5212-98216A-
Z1", and then a faint "#2" at the end.

So, the printed time on the 45 label is wrong.

Yes, the stock 45 also runs an actual 3:37.

Jim, Aaron, you both are correct. Aaron came through with the dub, confirmed the label misprint, and now I can confirm the single version (with no known shorter radio promo) runs 3:37 and is an edit of the LP version.

If you don't have "New Wave Hits Of The 80s," you can replicate the edits by removing (timing based on newly edited file each time):

1:15 - 1:22
1:22 - 1:29
3:20 - 3:27

Thank you, everyone, for your help!!
