Has anybody recreated the 45 version of "Chariots Of Fire" by Vangelis? All I can find is the LP version

Yes. That's a super easy one.

All you have to do is chop off the first 15 seconds or so of the 3:30 Version and start with the first horn notes. Chop off all the "buzzing," the "buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh," up to where the horns start -- "Buuuuuh-buuuuuh," -- and you've got the 45 version.

Would that not be the second set of horn notes? I recall it only repeating twice on the radio promo, but thrice on the LP version. Is that at all correct?

Yes Jody, you're right. The 45 commences at the second set of horn notes. At around the :15 mark.

Whoops, you're right... memory failed me. It's the second set of horn notes, the one that strikes around the 13 second mark or so.
