The actual commercial 45 run time of the Doobie Brothers' "Black Water" is 4:15. (Timing info courtesy of Jim. The printed record label time is 4:17). At present, the song's database CD entries run 4:11-4:17.

Anybody know if there was a promo copy/DJ edit of Black
Water? If so, do you happen to know the edit marks? |

Tim, my mono/stereo DJ 45s of Warner Bros. 8062 are the full-length version, listed as 4:17, as Jim noted above for his stock 45.
"Black Water" had previously appeared as the B-side of the Warner 7795 stock 45 (also listed as 4:17), but promo copies had the "Another Park, Another Sunday" A-side edit on both sides of the mono/stereo single. I'm not aware of any shorter "Black Water" 45. |
