The LP version of You Are On My Mind by Chicago starts
with about 8 seconds of control room talk and a count in. I'm assuming this was cut for the 45, but the printed time of the single was 3:20 which is roughly the same as the LP version. Can someone with the 45 confirm the length and whether the intro is present? |

My 45, Columbia 3-10523, states "3:20", but actually runs '3:10', and has no studio chatter or count-off. My CD of Chicago X, states "3:20", and actually runs '3:19'. If you remove the :08 of chatter and count-off, you will have essentially constructed the single edit. I think 'Chicago-Take Me Back To Chicago' CK-38590 and Group Portrait, C4K-47416 are digital clones. -Bill.
