my cassingle issued as a&m 0111 contains, on the A-side, the "lp version".....but....it actually fades out a little earlier than the actual lp version from the cd

(S) (4:30) A&M 314540269 Fields Of Gold - Best Of

the cassingle runs 4:26 and if you fade out the last 0:09 from 4:17 to 4:26 you will re-create the correct cassingle "single" version....this should be noted in the db

Great info, Ed. Your attention to detail is invaluable.

Going through some old airchecks from my local Top 40 ("Rock 40," as they called it at the time, because it was rock-based CHR) from 1993, I realized KMYZ in Tulsa ("The Hot Rockin' Z104.5!") played a live version of IIELMFIT.

I know for a fact they were playing 100% of their content off of carts (tape) pre-recorded at the station... so I know this wasn't a case of a DJ programming in the wrong track on a CD.

I have no idea what their source was, but as long as we're documenting single versions and, in many cases, radio versions, I thought I would record here that at least one station at the time was programming a live version at least some of the time.
