With Walter Becker's passing, I'm going through 45cat
and seeing which Steely Dan songs had a 45rpm release. Though not a hit, the 45 for Kid Charlemagne has a listed time of 3:58. LP runs 4:38. Is this an early fade on the 45? If so, does anyone have fade points? |

I believe the 45 actually runs (4:17.5) and is faster than the LP.
In my file, the fade starts around (4:07.5). I'm not sure where I got it, though (might've been from Skyline). No other edits that I can tell, though--just speeding it up and fading early. Edited by sriv94 |

A lot of Steely Dan songs were sped up for single release (some were edits in addition)--"Rikki Don't Lose That Number," "Pretzel Logic," "Kid Charlemagne,"
and "My Old School" definitely were, and I think "Black Friday," "Show Biz Kids," and "FM (No Static At All)" were as well. |
