I have the stereo promo 45 and the 3:33 side actually runs 3:29. Yes, my TT has a strobe and pitch control, so the 3:33 time on the label must be wrong. The edited side does sound slightly faster than the full length 4:21 B side.

thanks, Gary. Now THAT's accurate info! Now, if only someone has the commercial 45, we'll get to the bottom of this one.

Pat:

For database purposes, DJ and commercial 45 copies of "Let It Ride" both state a run time of 3:33 on the record label, but have an actual run time of 3:29.

my commercial 45 issued as mercury 73457 states a run time of 3:33 but actually runs 3:30 and is identical to the version on the below cd...

The Canadian CD compilation The Best Of B.T.O. (So Far) contains the single version of Let It Ride as mentioned by David Clark in this thread and runs 3:30.

Originally released as a vinyl LP in 1976, this collection is on CD from Canada containing the single version but was remastered for the U.S. and contains the LP version.

That Canadian collection may also contain the single version of You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet as Discogs lists a 3:39 run time.
