the database says that the 45 runs 4:24 and the lp vers runs 4:43 i timed my 45 and it runs 4:44 and is identical to the version from the "broadcast" cd could you have the dj 45 in your mind when you says 4:24?? |

Although I don't have my 45 available to time out, I am positive that my copy fades out at the end, and doesn't run the length of the LP version. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the LP version end cold?
This could be a case where more than one 45 was pressed commercially. |

I'm pretty sure my 45 ends with a lone synthesizer riff repeating that fades out quickly, but I'm not sure of the length - I could check it later. Is this how the LP ends?

Yes, vanmeter, I'm pretty sure that's how the LP version ends. My copy of the 45 is just an early fade of the LP version, which ends cold...or, rather, has the quickly fading synth notes. (Mine has about a 15 second fade out while the song is still going.)
