Regarding the 12" vinyl: if you believe Discogs, there wasn't a vinyl 12" released in the United States of this song... which I find VERY difficult to believe.
My difficulty is in trying to determine which version was likely played most in clubs at the time: the "Special Extended Mix" (track 1 on the 12" around the world) or the "Full Force Naughty House Mix" (which is the first extended version on the CD, and significantly remixed as Eric pointed out). Obviously any DJ could play any track and I also know many went looking for imports... but that path of least resistance would have been track one, side A, of the U.S. release. Can anyone provide any insight on this? (And if there WAS a USA 12", could you go put the info in Discogs, please?) :-)

It’s there. This is the one I have… 12” single on Discogs As for club play, I was too young for the scene in 1988, but I know Ultimix reworked the lead cut. Edited by eric_a

I was serviced the promo version of that 12-inch single.
In the bars and clubs I played the "Special Extended Mix". Every night. It was a big dancefloor filler. Andy
