That's correct. Dave Dworkin ran a service called Ghostwriters (later became Radio Mall), which provided music libraries, sound effects, production music, and other stuff radio stations might need. The A List was sold exclusively through Ghostwriters/Radio Mall. I bought the last copy of The A List that Dave had, around 2003.
I'm not sure who compiled The A List, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't Dave. The other music libraries that Dave handled back in the 1999-2000 time frame are still offered for sale by Radio Mall. Not so for the A List. |

The CD music libraries there seem to be from Halland Broadcast Services, or at least the oldies and country sets are. I have the country, and about 40% of the oldies libraries, and the listings there coincide with my discs. I would imagine the 70s & 80s collections are also HBS. |
