Does anyone have the promo cd for Anita Baker - Just
Because (PR 8046-2) the edit on this disc states 3:59. The single edit on Sweet Love (The Very Best Of Anita Baker) runs 4:22. Is the edit on the promo cd the same with an incorrect run time or are they different edits?

I don't have the promo, but I noticed most of the other US configurations of the single state a running time of 3:59. The Cassette Single lists the
version as "(Edit)" with a running time of 4:17 on the shell of the cassette. If I had to guess, I'd say a 3:59 version doesn't really exist and they labeled the single with that length to make it more appealing for radio play.

Thanks Dan.   I used to own this promo cd single and
don't remember the run time being 4:22. Sometimes compilation discs have remixes or edits that are slightly different than when the song was originally released. Other times the label lists the track time incorrectly either on the insert, the disc itself or both. Without the original disc to compare edits, it will remain a mystery. Edited by promojunkie

 PR 8046-2
1. Edit (listed 3:59; actual 4:19) 2. LP Version (listed & actual 5:09) On the fade out of the "Edit," the volume drops almost all the way at 4:17 but remains just barely audible. Then at 4:19, you can hear that someone presses the stop button on the tape machine.
