I just picked up her 2-CD It's My Party - Mercury years anthology and The Look of Love is a completely different mix with different background vocals than on previous packages. Anone know which CD's contain the 45 version?

Growin'Up Too Fast - The Girl Group Anthology contains the mono 45 version, the CD you refer to is a stereo version of the single mix. I think the song was originally an LP cut which was doctored for single release, with extra instrumentation and background vocals added.

I also have that CD. While it's a great collection of one of my favorite genres of pop music, I was a bit disappointed that it was entirely in mono.

The biggest disappointment I had with that set was with the Angels' "I Adore Him." I was looking for the mono mix, as my original 45 sounds quite distorted. But the Growin' Up Too Fast set featured a fold-down of the stereo mix, burying the vocals that are much more prominent on the mono 45.
