Can anyone help me regarding the differences between the original 45 and LP versions of "Hair" by The Cowsills and "Pretty Flamingo" by Manfred Mann?
Neither single version is on CD and I'm wondering how significant the differences are. Thanks! |

For the Cowsills tune try this thread: http://www.top40musiconcd.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1626 &KW=hair |

Thanks, Santi. What's odd is that I used the search function to look for both songs before I posted, and neither of the threads you provided showed up. |

A few tips for the search feature I picked up along the
way: 1) Be sure to change the drop-down option to "topic subject" of course. 2) Use only lower-case. Don't know why, it just works better. 3) In threads where the song title is in quotes for some reason are sometimes reluctant to show up. If you get no result try searching for the artist name instead. 4) If you're searching for a full title, try part of the title instead. MM |

Some good tips there, Mark.
I'd also add that when I search, I often just use a keyword and that seems to work every time. |

Using all lower case will not work if the
OP added a thread in all upper case. The uppercase threads won't show up unless you search in all uppercase. |

Pat, is it possible for you to configure the search function to ignore case? |

I've tried lower case and it still brings up results. Just
takes some patience with variations of a search. I usually start with the subject line first and usually am successful. |
