Yes, I do. "Have A Cigar" actually hit the Record World "Bubbling Under" chart (#140 in 1979). |

I have the "Tree Full of Secrets" collection but the audio is so poor on all of the files. Thanks Aaron!

I take that back about "Tree Full of Secrets." I lost my original files so found them online again yesterday. The FLAC versions I found sound pretty good...much better than the mp3 files I had years ago. So I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post links on here but if you're interested in where to find them PM or email me.

Anybody have the edit and fade points for the 3:59 short DJ edit of "Comfortably Dumb," as we're calling it in this thread? :-)

Gene: one "dumb" dub is on its way to you.

John, some "dumb" audio is heading your way, too, so you better "run like hell."

Curiously, what's the difference between this version of "Money" and the single? Earlier fade? Edit(s)? |

Why, thank you, kind sir! To paraphrase Mr. Dylan: I was so much dumber then, I'm number than that now. Or was it the other way around? :)
Steve, it's an edit that involves something you wouldn't expect: a cross-fade at the 1:37 mark. The fadeout is also truncated, with the spoken line ending a tad abruptly: "Absolutely. I cer..." Actual time, BTW, is 3:11. All four cuts on the promo EP are mono. |

If someone is recreating this edit from a digital source I would love a copy. I have some edits as well...I redid Have A Cigar and a few others.

Thanks for the dub. The edit is a little jarring if you're not expecting it, but nothing out of line with other Capitol promo edits from that era. I'm a bit surprised it wasn't the "official" radio edit (or at least b/w the ducked single version). |
