I was saddened to hear this station is coming to an end as of December 26, 2025. This is an old-school, linear station with regular specials and countdowns, nostalgic bumpers, and a chart lover's sensibility through and through.

Charlie has every Hot 100 and Bubbling Under single from the decade in rotation, as well as every Rock and Alternative charting single, and a deep well of additional songs from the other charts, MTV, and more that kept growing year after year, going beyond 10,000 songs in regular rotation.

Essentially, the licensing and royalty fees have grown too high as the listenership has expanded (17m sessions this year) and the fundraising has not kept pace; this is a commercial free, subscription free service.

I'd encourage those who didn't listen before and have a love of 80s charts to tune in for the last few weeks of service: https://charlies80sattic.com/listen/

I'd also appreciate any alternatives folks can suggest. This station has become a daily habit in the year+ since I discovered it, and I'm looking for a replacement.

I suggest you listen to "ASPEN" 102.3, it's one of the best radio stations in Argentina, they play artists from The Beatles to Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, Phil Collins, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Rick Astley, Men at Work, Level 42, Bruno Mars, Tina Turner, Maroon 5, Tears For Fears, Miles Cyrus etc., etc., it's a radio station without rankings.
I've been listening to this station for over 30 years; it's the one that has brought me closest to the music of yesterday and today.
It's had golden ages in terms of its music selection and periods when it was more in demand by record labels, but overall, it tries to maintain a consistent musical style spanning decades.
It combines today's music, the new with the great classics of yesterday and always, all international rock and pop, without any music in Spanish.
