does anyone own the promo cd single for the song 'half of
my heart' by john mayer and taylor swift?........the reason
i ask is that wikipedia shows the single version as the pop
mix running 3:52.....the 2011 grammy cd contains a 3:52
version and it sounds more punchy than the 'lp version'
which runs 4:09.....could it be that the 2011 grammy cd
actual contains the pop mix and NOT just a prematurely
faded version?

This answer is 10 years too late but here goes:

The 3:52 version on the Grammy Nominees compilation is a different mix than the Album Version so it is the "Pop Mix".

The Album Version is 4:10 with an annoyingly long fade-out ending (I remember not liking it). Promo Only released a version that ran 4:05 which the Album Version with an earlier, shorter fade.

There is also a John Mayer solo version floating around as well.
