Titled inconsistently on releases as "Rush Rush" or "Rush, Rush", this Giorgio Moroder bubbler from the 1983 Scarface soundtrack has several versions:
• 45 version - 3:34 based on the transfer by "CM", possibly truncated • soundtrack LP version - "3:36" stated on labels of US vinyl LP - on the 2001 EU CD it is mastered with clicks and a dropout in the 1st bar • 2022 expanded soundtrack "Album Version" - 3:37 - album version with extra reverb The opening bar of the 45 version differs from the album version. I believe the album version contains an edit to replace a low percussive synth note (after the 3rd kick) with a corresponding section from the third bar, resulting in two high notes in the first bar—one during beat 3 and one during beat 4—rather than just the one during beat 4. Therefore, I don't think the 45 version has ever been released on CD/digital. Remixes: • Extended Version - 4:45 based on Once More Into The Bleach CD mastering • Dub Mix aka Extended Dub Version - 4:39 based on DjPaulT's 2021 transfer of the US 12" B-side • Dub Version - "3:25" or "3:26" stated on labels of EU 45 B-side - I have not heard this yet • 2003 US soundtrack CD remix - 3:37 - all tracks on this CD are new remixes The soundtrack albums always credit "Deborah Harry" whereas the singles say "Debbie Harry". |
