Hi guys, how are you? I open this topic, regarding the
single "Reggae Night", which although it never charted in
the US, I wanted to know if anyone knows, listens to or has
the 45 remix version of 4:00, as indicated by discogs.

I'm wondering if the 4 minute listing is correct; I have the LP version (5:21, listed 5:38) and then a version running 4:12. Is this the single version labeled 3:58, an attempt at the single version, or something else?

FWIW, my Canadian 45 lists the time as (3:58), but I timed it at (4:10). (The song reached #40 in Canada in 1984).

Reggae Night was a #1 hit here in New Zealand.  The 45 version is an edit of the LP version and runs 4:10.  It is available on CD.  
However, the song may have been remixed for the US market.  I notice that some US 12" singles also contain a remix with a listed time of 6:17, so perhaps the remix 45 is an edit of that?
