A question for those who have the Grease soundtrack CD. Are
track one ("Grease") and track 24 ("Grease" Reprise)
identical? I just listened to my 1991 CD copy on Polydor
and I don't hear any differences. Just want to confirm they
are both one in the same.

Well I have the LP and my dad had the 8-track years ago. I've always know them to be identical. I was assume the CD follows suit.

It never occurred to me to compare them before!

They're the same version, but different analog transfers. On my 1991 CD copy of the Grease soundtrack, the indexing is a little screwy and it cuts off the attack of the opening note on track 24. Go with track 1.
There's a lot of crap on the radio, but there's only one Crap From The Past.

Yes, Santi, I can also confirm the "reprise" version is the
same as track 1.
I should also add that, if you're a real fan of this movie
and soundtrack, I recommend the 2003 25th Anniversary
deluxe reissue 2 CD set. The bonus disc features the B-side
Sax instrumental version of "Grease" as well as other
instrumental "sing-a-long" versions, other B-sides, the
single version of "Greased Lightnin'" with all the naughty
language removed, a few modern remixes, the Grease Megamix
(single version), and another medley.
