Hey folks,

Thanks to those that helped previously when I was looking
for missing Billboard single picks pages.

I'm researching and playlisting all the 1980s single
picks across the three trades, and as with Billboard, the
World Radio History archive is missing a few pages from
Cash Box and Record World. I imagine tracking those down
will be tougher, but I really appreciate any leads to
finding this information. Here's what's missing for 1980:

Cash Box ("Single Reviews"):
August 23, p. 24
September 27, p. 9
November 22, p. 15
December 6, p. 17

Record World ("Singles Picks"):
April 26, p. 16
November 8, p. 12
November 29, p. 12

Thanks again!

I'm pretty certain we have those hard copies in our library. Feel free to PM me your e-mail address and I can send you scans
of what you're missing.

Thanks, Paul! I'll send you a PM.

Your books have been amazing resources for me.

If anyone wants to track my journey to rate and playlist
every 1980s charting pop song AND single pick across the
three trades, I'm posting through it on Threads
(@every80sbillboardpopsong) and Bluesky
(@every80spopsong.bsky.social), and the playlist for
every available Spotify song, with single edits when
available, is at
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5PC0rpT8Hh8uH4FV69tZCo

I'm almost through March, 1980 so far.

Wow, your Threads posts are so much fun (other than you
low balling some songs I love lol). Thanks so much for
this project!

I've noticed that you say that a song was a Billboard pick
when I think you mean it was recommended. Are you using
the adjective "pick" for any song that is listed in the
single reviews?

Thanks for checking it out! I definitely encourage you to
let me know when you think I've got the rating wrong :)

For the individual song posts, yes, I do use pick
generically (for all the trades), but I have a dedicated
post for each week to list which Billboard songs were
Picks (1-30) or Recommends (31-100) and tally up how
correct their predictions were.
