Here's another one to add to the "slightly different" file. Over the weekend I picked up a promo on the James Taylor "How Sweet It Is" assuming the mono side was just a fold down of the stereo. On both sides he starts the song with "How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You" twice, but ONLY on the mono side, you can clearly hear him sing, "So How Sweet It Is" the second one. I don't know if they mixed out the "So" on the stereo version or if it's a different sing. It SOUNDS like a different sing on the mono side on those two first "How Sweet it Is" sings, and the song has a slightly punchier mix for AM radio on the mono side. Outside of the intro, I don't hear any other difference in the vocal through the song.
