Pat:

Just to let you know... In addition to the 9 1/2 Weeks soundtrack disc, John Taylor's "I Do What I Do" also appears on the various artist CD Lost Hits of the '80s (EMI-Capitol Music Special Markets 19460) with a run time of 3:43. The database currently does not reflect this.

Yikes here is another case of there being multiple pressings of a cd as my copy of "Lost Hits Of The 80's" EMI-Capitol Music Special Markets 19460 does not contain John Taylor's "I Do What I Do"! I will go ahead and enter your information Todd with the footnote that I just relayed.

Funny I had just mentioned this cd (Lost Hits Of The 80's) in another forum. "I Do What I Do" is the track that is included on my copy of the CD, but is not listed on the jacket.
The Soulsister song "The Way To Your Heart" is listed but that's the one that is missing from the CD.
Obviously a last minute line-up change did not make it to the artwork in time.

That's it Mark! My cd does not list "I Do What I Do" either and that is why I never listed it in the database but sure enough, it is track 2. The printed track lineup does not match the actual track lineup.

What's interesting about my copy is the back tray insert actually does correctly state that "I Do What I Do" is Track 2. So there's no mention at all of Soulsister's "The Way to Your Heart" on my copy. I guess I must have the "fully corrected" pressing!

I bought that CD from a Music Catalog about 20 years ago
because it was the only place I knew at the time that
had the Soulsister song. (I hadn't yet gotten a computer
and none of the used CD stores I went to at the time had
any copies of the parent album, "It Takes Two").
Needless to say, I was mad as heck when the copy I got
turned up like yours, with the Soulsister song listed as
the third song on the back inlay, but was nowhere to be
found on the actual disc itself. "I Do What I Do" is
listed as Track 2 on the actual disc.
