After more than four years, it looks like we can finally put this one to rest. Thanks, Jim!

isn't it crazy how record company decision makers will issue a version as the 7 inch version on one format and never ever issue the 7 inch version on the actual 7 inch format.....as much i love the music i'm always puzzled with the music business....thank god i'll always be a collector a NOT a music business person....amazing!!....who decides these kinds of things?

This was especially true during the '90s, and yes, it didn't seem to make much sense at times. I always wondered exactly how they decided what to release on 7-inch during the '90s - in many cases it was the biggest hits, but there were some big hits that weren't on 7-inch, and other much smaller ones that were. Sometimes with a major artist they'd skip one - Gloria Estefan is a good example. She had one single in the mid-90s that wasn't on a 45 (it was issued as cassette-only), but all her others were. Strange how they decided not to do that one particular title on vinyl. I also noticed on some 12-inch singles that one of the mixes was called "7-inch edit"; yet for those particular songs no actual 7-inch was released. Head-scratching...but interesting times nonetheless! :) Edited by torcan |

Some copies of this song's parent album, "Coolin' At The Playground Ya Know!", are listed on Discogs with "Iesha" running 7:13. Is it possible there were different pressings of this album, with some copies running 7:13 for the song and others running 4:21? The 7:13 time would seem to be the "Stupid Club" mix from the promo.
