The 45 version of this classic R&B song is missing from a US CD, according to
all the timings in the database. Pat, the database needs updating to indicate
LP version, etc., for all CD appearances.

Anyone have a 45 dub they could pass along to me?

What's the difference? Is the 45 version on a Sue LP?

The Sue 45 is single only, to the best of my knowledge. And it is on CD, on a Time-Life Rhythm & Blues volume. And sounds like a needledrop.

Which Time-Life disc has the 45 length? Every disc in the db lists the LP length.

Second pressings of that disc have the 45 version. First pressings the LP version (it was an even worse needledrop)

thanks guys. my intent would be to listen to the 45 dub, then make an edit
from a clean copy of the LP version, assuming of course the 45 is an edit of
the LP version...

Kent I can find no information regarding a remaster of Time-Life's Rhythm & Blues 1961 cd. Can you pass along the matrix number information so I can try to track down this elusive volume?

For David, the LP is an LP length not a version so no editing is needed, just a fade.

Pat, there was a RE-1 matrix pressed of Rhythm & Blues 1961 with some different masterings. The RE-1 is harder to find than the non-RE disc. I wonder if the Sue Master Tape or a UK dub of the 45 master exist. Every CD version I've heard have been needledrops.
