The actual commercial 45 run time of the Mary Jane Girls' "In My House" is 3:58. (Timing info courtesy of abagon. The printed record label time is 3:59.) I only post this because nearly all database CD appearances containing a "45 version" comment run shorter at 3:55.

I was able to take the 5:01 LP version, paste it into my 3:55 45 version and do the fade from 3:47 to 3:58.

17 years later, the 5:01 version is the 12" single version as noted in the DB. I think the 45 version is just an early fade of the 12" version, correct?

Yes, the 45 version is an early fade of the 12" version.
Already accounted for in the database is the fact that the 12" version is also the CD album version. The vinyl LP version is this version but with ~33 seconds removed around 3:24. Edited by mjb50 - Yesterday at 10:57pm |
