According to the CD's liner notes, the song 'It's O.K.' appears on The Beach Boys Greatest Hits Volume Three: Best Of The Brother Years 1970-1986 at the 45 speed "which was sped up two percent over the album track".

I don't have a copy of the 15 Big Ones LP, but the database states that the actual LP time is 2:07. If the CD liner notes are correct, then the actual LP time should be longer. Can anyone figure this one out?

Paul, it is correct that the version of "It's OK" on The Beach Boys Greatest Hits Volume Three is the correct 45 speed. All other entries in the database are the LP speed. The running time differences of all these cd's in the database is just a matter of how far Capitol let the master tape continue before they faded the song. The actual vinyl 45 and LP running time is (2:07).

IIRC, when I bought the Beach Boys' "Ten Years of Harmony" CD, it had an
alternate version of "It's OK". Eventually, this CD was reissued with the correct
master. I bought it and sold the other comp, as I didn't want an incorrect "It's
OK". Now I feel differently about having alternate versions and kind of regret
that decision. But I just bought their "Very Best of Beach Boys - Sounds of
Summer" 3 CD expanded version which has something they label "It's OK
(alternate mix)'. I'm wondering if this is the same alt mix that was on the "Ten
Years of Harmony" CD accidentally. Does anyone have the first pressing of
"Ten Years of Harmony" who can tell if these 2 versions are the same or not?
IIRC, the original pressing was about 1" thick, and when they reissued it, it was
slimmer.

Gordon, I have 2 different copies of "Ten Years Of Harmony". The older one is in a 'Fatty' (what used to
be referred to as a double CD). I believe it is an import from the U.K. (it has 'Assigned in the U.K. to
Carlin Music Corp.' in the booklet) and I remember customers coming into my store and telling me that
there were 'different' versions of Beach Boy songs on it (Caribou/Brother 465670-2). Then I have the next
version on Caribou/Epic Z2K 37445 in a 'brilliant box'. I compared the 2 'It's OK's' and found no
difference between them except for a 2.5% difference in speed. The mix is the same IMHO. I don't have the
3CD set of 'Sounds Of Summer', but I do have the 6CD 'Made In California' which lists 'It's OK' as an
alternate take and that is quite noticeably another take. So, maybe my old 'TYOH' is different from the
one you had. -Bill.
