Was the 45 mono or stereo?

If mono, has that version showed up on any CD?

Jerry Butler's "I'm a Telling You" was a 1961 single, so I'm sure it was issued in mono. I know several record labels did press some stereo 45s in limited quantities back in the late '50s/early '60s, but as far as I know all singles were primarily issued in mono back then.

Unfortunately, mono mixes of most of Jerry Butler's Top 40 hits are sorely lacking on CD.

None of Jerry's Vee-Jay 45s were issued in stereo that I'm aware of.

The only Vee-Jay-related stock copy from the first generation of stereo 45s I've ever seen was a 1959 issue of Dee Clark's "Hey Little Girl," which stated "stereo" and sported a unique black-print-on-gray Abner label, rather than the usual silver-print-on black-label design.

On the various CDs listed in the database containing this song, the run times range from (2:17) to (2:21). I timed my U.S. commercial 45 (Vee Jay 390) at (2:23).
