My commercial 45, which is mono and confirmed as Mercury 72960, has a listed time of (2:36), but an actual time of (2:30).

This one needs further database update, as all CD appearances, all in stereo, run about 2:35. Are these the original LP length, or longer later?

if you fade 'the very best of' cd version for 0:08 from
2:22 to 2:30, you'll effectively re-create the vinyl 45 version... |
