I also received on CD last week from Hip-O Select (Catalog # B0003627-02), the 1972 LP "The Joey Heatherton Album". It contains the 10 original LP tracks, and well as 11 bonus tracks. Her low-charting 1973 Hot 100 45, "I'm Sorry" is included, as is her 1972 Top 40 hit, "Gone", which is stereo, and runs (3:13). This is its U.S. CD debut. The original LP cover, with the blonde-haired Joey (who was considered quite the sex symbol in her day, for you young guns) wearing a blue denim pullover top and roped beads around her neck, against a red background. This color photo has now been relegated to the inner booklet cover. They have substituted, for the CD release cover, an uncensored, black-and-white photo guaranteed to please EVERY red-blooded American male, if you get my drift. I have just accidently purchased my FAVORITE LP/CD cover of ALL time, all in the name of obtaining an elusive Top 40 hit on CD! There is also one other unusually revealing b/w photo, a third large b/w picture as well, and includes on the back gatefold a small, "negative-sized" 9-pack of Joey Heatherton photos. We collectors can only hope this starts a new trend!!!
