I have the dj copy of "Lies" and the label states "Lies (edited version)" with a stated time of (3:57) but the actual running time of the dj copy is(3:46).

my commercial 45 issued as jive 1038 states on the label "edited version" with a stated run time of 3:57 but actually times at 3:46.....the run out groove says "1038 7 ja - 1"....for those that need this 45 version it can be had by buying the cd single issued as jive c-141.....i originally thought this was an import cd single, but after reviewing it, it dosen't say WHICH country it was issued from.....although the run times listed on the back are in the ' fashion, (ie 4'39, and not 4:39) which would indicate to me that it IS an import of some kind.........the tracks on this cd single are below

3-crossroads revisted (listed 4:45, runs 4:44)

Three of the seven current db CDs for this song feature the (4:35-4:37) LP
Version. The other four run (5:17), and for which Pat notes has "neither
the 45 nor LP version".

I have just found out where the (5:17) version came from. My 1987,
promo 12" single (Jive 1043-1-JDCD). Here are its contents:

1-Lies (Extended Version) (listed time 5:17)

Side 2:
1-Lies (Edited Version) (listed time 3:57)
2-Lies (LP Version) (listed time 4:39)
