Pat, my copy of MFSL 679 You Really Got Me/Kinda Kinks contains the "wet" or stereo LP version of "You Really Got Me," and is the "slightly electronic" version you mentioned above. I wonder if there were two different pressings of this CD?

I don't think so Tim, when I entered the data originally, I borrowed that MFSL cd from someone else to review and since I no longer have that cd in my possession I just assumed that they would have used the dry version since 95% of all other cd's use the dry version so I will go back and change the entry comment.

The "wet" version used on the MFSL disc is "fake stereo". The mono master is dry.

The "wet" version Rhino used on their Son Of Frat Rock CD is definitely mono, though. I'm *guessing* that Rhino took the (E) stereo LP version and folded it down to (M) for this disc.

My commercial 45, confirmed as Reprise 0306, with machine-stamped
deadwax of "2926-1B", has a listed time of (2:20), but an actual time of
(2:12). This now brings the song into line, time-wise, with its many current
db CDs, which all run between (2:10) and (2:12).
