my commercial 45 issued as columbia 08103 states on the label a run time of 4:04 and does indeed run that length...the only reason i post this info is because the db states the following below about the song

1989 - MORE THAN YOU KNOW
(S) (4:05) Columbia 44290 Martika (LP version)
(S) (4:05) K-Tel 6002 Power Jams (LP version)
(S) (4:00) Columbia/Legacy 86853 Toy Soldiers – The Best Of (45 version)

the 4:00 version cannot acurately be the 45 version since it only runs 4:00.....my cdr version is from the "best of" cd and runs 4:04....pat, we need some clarification on this cd issue

My 45 copy is a dj copy and I just timed it at (4:02). I A/B'd the single vs the version found on Toy Soldiers -Best Of cd and discovered they are identical in speed and length. Both have extremely long fadeouts making timing difficult and I cranked up the volume on the cd to find it runs (4:02) not (4:00) as indicated formerly in the database. It is certainly possible that the commercial pressings of this 45 differ by :02 when compard to the dj copy (dj matrix number etched in the vinyl is ZSS 08103-A C1).

Is the only difference between 45 & LP version length or are there mix differences?

There are mix differences, and they're easy to spot:

The LP version starts with two quick solo notes and has
a TR-808-sounding cowbell as part of the percussion in
the measures of the intro.

The 7" 45 mix doesn't have the two solo notes or the
cowbell parts over the intro, and the percussion has a
reverbed effect added on the 8th beat (similar to the
drumbeat of Debbie Gibson's "Only In My Dreams").
