I only have a DJ 45 on this, but both the stereo/mono sides of it have a listed time of (3:04), and an actual time of (3:03). The Pop Annual edition I use the most also shows a listed time of (3:04). 1) Would someone be able to confirm this (3:03/3:04) time range for the commercial 45 as well, and, 2) If the running time does match the promo 45's, all database CDs currently show a time of either (3:48) or (3:43) for "Nickel Song", so an LP version or LP length designation would likely need to be added.

Jim:

I checked with Edtop40, our resident commercial 45 expert, and he doesn't yet have a copy of "The Nickel Song" on 45. Perhaps Paul Haney might be able to confirm Joel Whitburn's 45 copy?

Todd: Good idea, sir. Obtaining a commercial 45 copy is current a "low-priority" on my want list. I know Paul & the Record Research folks are quite busy, but perhaps our friends can still find a spare moment to help us out here. In the end, we all want the same thing - to make sure we've got it right!

Our commercial copy states (3:04) and actually runs (3:03).

Hmm, so the 45 version has never been issued on CD?
