Ed, I bought the deluxe edition of "The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees" LP,
issued in 2009 on, Rhino Hand Made (RHM2 522248). It is a 3-CD set. Disc 1 is "The Original Stereo Album & More", Disc 2 is "The Original Mono Album & More", and Disc 3 is "The Birds, The Bees & The Rarities. "Tapioca Tundra" is included on both Discs 1 & 2. To answer your question, the version on Disc 2 is in mono. If we are to assume that the mono LP version and the mono 45 version are the same, it *is* on my CD. There is no specific "Bonus Track" included, where "Tapioca Tundra" (Single Version) appears. So I guess it is safe to assume that the two recordings are the same. |

jim, thanks for the file for analysis!!....after A/B'ing it
versus my vinyl 45 they are the same version....except the vinyl 45 is pitched up.....the vinyl 45 runs 3:01 even though it states the run time as 3:03 on the label... |
