Ed, I appreciate the cassingle scans, but I hope you'll still report the timing information, especially if there's any difference to the listed time or no time shown at all.

Thanks Ed. Reason I bring it up is because your "No Rain" scan shows a time of (3:15), yet Pat's database shows all running (3:34-3:35). "Back To the Hotel" scan shows (5:17), yet Pat's database shows (5:03-5:04). Just trying to pinpoint an accurate timing.

Yes, that would be great if you could add any printed vs. actual run time info, when applicable, to your colorful scans, Ed.

after reviewing the song today, i've got some new info to impart.....my cassingle issued as profile 5367 contains, on the A-side, the "album version" which actually runs 5:04 and is identical to all the versions in the db.......and NOT 5:17 as stated on the cassingles sleeve (see above).....the cassingle itself doesn't list a running time just that it's the "album version".......also......even though the cassingle DOESN'T have a PA sticker on the sleeve, there are 2 curse words at 2:59, "mother f**ker" and "sh*t", during the break....this info should be noted in the db...

I have a promo CD copy that contains clean versions/edits for both versions on the cassingle. There are three curse words edited out of the "Radio Version." In addition to the two words Ed mentions above, the first verse has a line that says "Dick in hand / the s**t to have you toe down." Interestingly, they don't edit out the word "dick." During the breakdown of the Radio Version (the part Ed mentions), all of the vocals are completely removed.

Blast from the past! I always understood that line to be "Dank in hand". I know lyrics on some songs are so unintelligible it becomes subjective, but it would explain the editing. Edited by JFive |

Ah! Well, yes, that would explain why they didn't edit out "dank" (slang for a type of marijuana). I've been mis-hearing those lyrics since 1992! |
