Artists that you recall had more than a couple number two's on the Hot 100?

Madonna had some classics next to the top spot:

Material Girl
Causing A Commotion
Express Yourself
Cherish
I'll Remember
Frozen

Mariah Carey also had a few as I can recall (am I forgetting another one?)

Can't Let Go
Loverboy
Shake It Off

Other two's?

Welcome back, Johann - we missed you. A couple of "golden oldies" for you - The 1st 3 Blood Sweat & Tears hits got to #2; "You've Made Me So Very Happy, Spinning Wheel, And When I Die"; Creedence Clearwater Revival had FIVE #2's: "Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising, Green River, Travelin' Band, Lookin' Out My Back Door"; neither group EVER had a #1 Billboard hit single; I think "Back Door" might've might hit #1 Cashbox or Record World...

It's amazing how many massive songs Madonna has had stuck behind some rather forgettable #1's.

Switching over to albums for a minute...what surprises me is that Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" is one of the most popular songs of all time, yet it was never released as a commercial single and its parent album could not hit No. 1. IIRC, it sat at No. 2 for 4 weeks.

Go figure!

True. I don't know about "Cherish", but I would have liked to see "Express Yourself" honor its "don't go for second best baby" line.
