   My father for kicks decided to enter a recipe in Maggiano's Best Italian Chef Contest (the third annual).  Lo and behold, he is one of 

six finalists. The grand prize is a trip to Parma, Italy.  And I want him to win.  He's a good man and deserves a wonderful trip, just 

for putting up with me all these years.  BTW, he turns 80 on Sunday.  It'd be a nice birthday gift.

So, here's how to help me. Beginning today (and ending March 3), his entry, Garlic Shrimp and Shells, will be featured in a blog called 

The Chef's Table which may be found at http://blog.maggianos.com.  The only way to vote is through Facebook.  I've linked his entry 

below (the actual recipe is on the blog, but not on the first page--there's a link to "older entries" on the first page and that will 

take you to the recipe).

Please register your vote for him (you can only vote once).  It'll mean a lot to him.  And me.  And try the recipe.
