I just received today the original ORIGINAL Japanese CD pressing of the West Side Story soundtrack from 1983. It uses what I presume is the original stereo mix of the soundtrack, not the silly 1993 remix with all the added movie dialogue that is also riddled with noise reduction. As far as I know, that awful remix is all that has been issued in America. I much prefer this original stereo mix.
