My local radio station (Hit 104.7) plays a clean edit that is near-identical to
this version, but with the "whips and chains" part of the hook reinstated:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG79APeIV5E
It appears to be an officially-serviced edit, as this rip from the UK's Kiss
FM matches the above description: https://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=l9S5JNV1LMk It's also worth noting that Hit 104.7 rarely play in-house
edits of songs, which is a valid point in my theory.

Where I am they play an intro instrumental edit tacked on to the beginning (which for my radio station is the norm.) Not hard to replicate. They did the same thing for Paint The Town Red, which I also had to replicate.
Personally, I think its pointless to take out the whip and chains and then leave whip in the rest of the song. Just my take.

Hit 104.7 might've changed their clean edit, as I heard a version today that
is near-identical to the one they usually play, but it removes "chains" from
the "I don't like no whips and chains" sample.
EDIT: I just uploaded this version onto YouTube:
https://youtu.be/hlUoMgca1uY
And here's the edit they used to play in HQ: https://youtu.be/JJIMo9zSzRM

I've heard three versions of this song on various CHR
stations. Clean (I don't like no whips and chains...), More
Clean (I don't like no whips and...), and Super Clean (I
don't like no...). iHeartRadio seems to prefer the Super
Clean on its stations.

Promo Only issued the radio super super clean version so
