It looks like the commercial 45 and the LP versions of "For America" by Jackson Brown (released in 1986) were identical, running about 5:10.

https://youtu.be/dWLHSTuYiYU?si=zZ9mZd4tl7_zoENg" rel="nofollow - This YouTube video claims the UK single was a slight edit; the video runs about 4:44.

https://youtu.be/KvD6ThytyDI?si=yEP_WwOZgHsVppQO" rel="nofollow - This video , on the other hand, plays the 4:15 version, available on the promo single service to U.S. radio.

HOWEVER, my quandary is that https://www.discogs.com/release/2390233-Jackson-Browne-For-America" rel="nofollow - Discogs shows the short edit as the B-side of the promo. Reinforcing this, the 5:10 side is labeled ST-EA-69566-A-SP while the 4:15 version is labeled ST-EA-69566-C-SP. (Where's ST-EA-69566-B-SP?)

Does anybody remember if top 40 stations that played this (it only made it to #30) played the full-length version, or the short edit?
