Most versions of this have the beginning guitar chord clipped. A more recent CD "Nobody But Me" on the See For Miles label has it from the beginning. What was on the original 45 and LP? I can't stand the clipped version after hearing the full version!

The original single was clipped. A full stereo remix from the session master with the full intro and a cold ending exists on one of the two "Both Ears" bootleg cds that are out there (my copies of the cds are worn out and need to be replaced anyhow).

Anyone know if the full intro. version of "Nobody but Me" was issued on the original LP release?

Yes Todd the LP has the clipped introduction.

FYI The stereo LP version does not mix down well to mono. Very swishy as the tape must have been out of alignment. I think the full unclipped intro only started showing up in the CD era.

Does the cd with the full intro contain the album mix, or is it the new full stereo remix from the session master that first appeared on this cd:

This cd version does contain the song to a cold end, too, going about 20 seconds longer than the 45 did.

Tom,

the CD I mentioned on the See For Miles label contains a restored guitar bit on both an original stereo album mix and what is likely a 45 mix.

Can you provide mp3s to me of both versions?
