Since I posted this question on the Heart, thread it may go unnoticed there and I'm curious.

As I said, the first copy of the "Heart" CD I bought was back in 1987, and as the rest of the domestic releases at the time, it came in a longbox. The disc itself stated "Made in Switzerland".

This in a similar fashion to early pressings of Madonna's first three albums, bearing US catalog numbers but with the disc manufactured in Japan or West Germany. I later read that this was due to the fact there were no manufacturing plants in the US yet.

I suppose I would count them as domestic releases since they were made for distribution in the US.

How do you account for them, domestic or import?
