anyone know if the true 45 version is available on cd.........the 45 starts with a drum smash while the cd version from "greatest hits" starts with a super quick piano hit, then the smash..........it's easily edited off/out to match the 45 but here is another example of a super slight difference between versions...........but again.........it is a difference.......i'm sorry for bringing all these minor differences to bear.....but we do want to be as acurate as possible here, right?.......the 45 actually does have the tail end of the piano beat before the smash, so it's not completely edited out....

Ed, was the 45 version on the domestic CD single? 'Cause I have it, if it was.

Nope, the US commercial CD single had one piano beat before the smash.
Did the cassingle open with the smash?

Sounds to me like a similar situation to "Black Velvet."

aaron...yes, similar but opposite.....the black velvet truncated the start...this one they could have started the single version with the smash but they where careless and caught the end of the piano intro....that's my take......it's easily replicated though....

All the cd's in the database have the piano introduction and are designated that way currently. I thought you were looking for the 45 introduction which is not on any of the cd's in the database.
