the 45 "dance little sister" (part 1) by terence trent d'arby is a remix of the full cd/lp version and runs 3:54 NOT 3:45 as stated on the 45's label........the only place i've found the correct 45 version on cd is the uk import 3" cd sgl.....the lp version moniker should be noted in the db....

Ed is right -- it runs 3:54. It was also on the US CD3 single, which had both parts 1 and 2 separate, just like the 45.

A little help requested from the TTD experts...
My copy of the Introducing the Hardline CD has a
3:54 version that fades. I have an mp3 of the 45 mix,
which also runs 3:54 and also fades. So there are two
different mixes, both fading out, and I can tell them
apart.
I have a CD called Dance Power (K-Tel 540-2,
released 1989), which includes "Dance Little Sister".
It's got a printed time of 3:45, which is incorrect. The
track is actually the LP mix, but runs out to 4:11 and
comes to a cold ending! The LP version appears to be an
early fade of this version!
Anyone know what this version is or where it came from?

The database simply acknowledges that the version of "Dance Little Sister" on the Dance Power CD is neither the 45 nor LP version. But based on your description, Ron, it sounds like this disc contains the complete original session recording that was later faded early for LP release (for whatever reason). This would not be a first... For instance, there have been a handful of James Brown hits in the database that have later surfaced on CD in the form of their complete unabridged session recordings. In other words, the 45 and LP releases of these hits were an edit or an early fade of these complete versions.)
Meanwhile, I'm also wondering if perhaps this 4:11 version of "Dance Little Sister" has appeared on a promo single release?

I just picked up a copy of the promo CD single which includes 3 versions:
1) Dance Little Sister (Part 1) Listed time 3:45 but runs 3:54
2) Dance Little Sister (Part 2) Listed time 3:36 and runs the same
3) Dance Little Sister Listed time 8:45 and runs 8:47
