Does anyone know if there's a single version/edit for this current hit?

I have a promo single for this on Relentless/Virgin 65652 with (Radio Version) 3:11

On the album it's 3:19. Does anyone know how the 3:11 version differs?

Thought I'd bump this thread back up to the forefront because I have the same question as Gordon... How does the 3:11 "Radio Version" of KT Tunstall's "Suddenly I See" differ from the 3:19 single/album version?

Responding to Paul/Todd's question from 10 years ago (!) (which was referencing my question from 11 years ago), I can now answer the question about the differences between single and album versions on "Suddenly I See" - I just received the CD single in mail today. As Paul points out, the CD single is listed as "Radio version 3:11" and is about 7 seconds longer than the album version.

So here's how they differ. First, it's a somewhat different mix. There are drums added to the prechoruses and last choruses of the single. There are also electric guitars brought up louder in the last choruses. If there were other differences, they were too subtle for me to tell, but there could be other slight instrument alterations.

In terms of the time difference, they edit out 5 seconds of the intro (whereas the album version has 3 measures, the single version has just 2). That accounts for 5 of the 7 seconds difference. Lastly, the single version fades the last note (which is quite long) 2 seconds earlier.

So this cannot be edited from the album version.
