Not sure if this is on topic or not, but towards the end of the fade on this song there are two "thunk thunk" sounds that sound like some sort of digital feedback noise and not part of the song.

I first noticed it on the "Heart Of Rock" compilation CD on Columbia and assumed at the time it was just a bad tape they got from Island for the compilation.

I later got an LP of "Riptide" and the noises were present on that, too. Same thing for the CD of the album I got very recently. My questions are what could these noises be, and are they present on the 45? (I don't presently own a copy of that single)

df559, 1)-I don't know what those noises could be, and, 2)-they are also found to be present on my 1986 commercial 45.

Thanks for confirming that those noises are on the commercial 45 as well. I just wonder what they are, as they don't sound like they belong in the song at all!
